Terms & Policies

To assure my clients have my undivided attention during their appointment with me, I do not typically respond to texts or calls until the end of my work day. For this reason, my scheduling site has full rescheduling and wait list capabilities now.

If you are arriving late to our appointment, you may text me to alert me. I give myself enough time in between appointments to fully sanitize my equipment and briefly check my phone for urgent matters. If you are going to arrive early (more than 10 minutes) the lobby may not be unlocked, so you may also text me to alert me. Appointments will start at their scheduled time to assure proper sanitation in between treatments, but if I do have extra time I will invite you to start early if you desire.

CanceLlation & Reschedule Policy

You are always welcomed to cancel or reschedule your appointment 24 hours or more before it’s scheduled at no fee.

When booking, my appointment program uses your credit card information to secure your appointment, and will only charge you for no-show or late cancellations and rescheduling (less than 24 hours notice). I do not have access to your credit card information, and these charges are handled securely through Square Booking.

This policy allows for adequate time for my clients on the waitlist to acquire an appointment, as well as respect and consideration for my own time and resources.

Though rescheduling within 24 hours or more will never incur a fee, repeated rescheduling can result in blocking my schedule for other clients, and may result in declining of future appointments.

Disclosing skin & medical conditions

If you are pregnant or intending to be, please disclose this as all facials can be modified to be pregnancy safe. It’s always advised to get clearance from your treating physician, and you are welcomed to bring any cushions or bolsters you may require.

Upon booking, you will receive a text or email from me with an intake. You are responsible for disclosing any known allergies or sensitivities you are aware of. It is strongly recommended to discontinue tretinion/retinol and alpha hydroxy acids at least 4 days before a facial, as these can result in unexpected severe irritation. If you dermaplane or shave your full face, it is advised you stop at least a week before your treatment as well.

Picking & home extractions

For some, this can be a compulsive disorder, which is why I will never shame or reprimand my clients for picking their skin or attempting their own extractions. There has never been a case where home extracting or picking is ideal or healthy for the skin, and my goal is to play a supportive role in my client’s recovery from this devastating habit, at all levels of severity. If you are aware that you pick at your skin, please disclose it in your intake so I can be prepared and create a treatment plan that will support healing. Please be aware that if you attempt to extract a blemish, I will not be further extracting that area as your skin needs to fully heal from the wound created before we can remove any residual impurities from a specific pore or area.

Medications & Diet

Healing from a facial treatment, particularly microneedling and chemical peels, is largely dependent on having a healthy balanced diet, and can be impacted by medications and supplements. If you have a health condition or are on medications that can impact healing, it’s strongly advised to have clearance from your treating physician and disclose this in your intake or to me in person.

Phone Usage

It’s recommended that you keep your phone on silent and out of reach during our appointment not only so you may relax, but so our neighbors getting massage and acupuncture in our space may relax as well.

Steam, lasers, and high frequency have all damaged phones during facials at some point in my years of work, but in the event you must have your phone with you, simply let me know, as I understand some work and obligations obligations may require you be reachable, and I will do my best to keep moisture and compromising electronics away from your phone.

Pets

We love having animal visitors in our office! Please feel free to bring your pet. Do keep in mind, to keep your facial sanitary and uninterrupted you pet will need to be comfortable relaxing during your appointment, but can be with you or on the couch next to you the whole time.

Companions

If you wish to bring a companion over the age of 12 who can wait in our lobby during your treatment, you as welcomed to. I do not allow guests of clients in my treatment room, unless the guest is the parent of guardian of a client who is a minor or has a disability that requires assistance during the treatment. Our building and rooms are fully accessible.

Minors as Clients

Parents are welcomed and encouraged to be in the room the entire treatment, but I request they have a non-participatory role (ie. please don’t stand over while I work or film me extracting your child’s skin. It will make them uncomfortable and distract me from doing my best work). There is a comfortable chair for you in the room, along with still and sparkling water and WiFi. If the client I am seeing is a minor, please inform me before the appointment. It is recommended to schedule the Express or Deluxe Facial for teenagers. I accept clients of all ages.
